Re-Up in Nashville

This city is the shit.

Day 3 finds us chillin on a porch outside of Nashville waiting to make the trip into the city.  After an 8 hour session last night with some awesome local engineers we came back here and drank beers until around 5; it seems like after the first couple days we all started to get used to living without much sleep.

After 2 days of rain the air feels like a thin blanket.  We have been immersed in an interesting subculture in this city that flies under the national radar.  Beneath the surface of a city known for country music and christianity, there is a young population that is hungry for the future of music.  Every one I've met seems to be able to hold a conversation that switches effortlessly from favorite Wayne Krantz albums to best Dilla beats to who produced Taylor Swifts last record.  In that respect it is like Boston.  People know the same amount, the difference is, out here they're still excited about it.

These kids are hungry for music.  They are actively seeking out new music, different music, the next music.  Were playing a short set at the Mercy Lounge tonight which should be sick.  Look out for the "Re-Up Nashville sessions"  comin soon.
